SF Dance Academy® opening in Selly Oak and Bournville, Birmingham UK. Saturday 17th January 2015.

SF Dance Academy® - provide a vast range of different style dance classes including:- Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Commercial Street, Modern, Musical Theatre, Gymnastics and Singing. Boys and Girls welcome, aged 3 years to adult. This is based in Selly Oak & Bournville, Birmingham UK.

OPEN DAY (FREE OF CHARGE) SATURDAY 17TH JANUARY 2015.

OPEN DAY TIME SLOTS
Age 3-5 - 13.30pm - 14.30pm
Age 6-8 - 15.00pm - 16.00pm
Age 9-12 - 16.30pm - 17.30pm
Age 13+ - 18.00pm - 19.30pm

To apply to join any of the above open day sessions, please contact us for arrangements and additional info. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to session start time suitable for your age category. PLEASE NOTE - the above time slots are for the OPEN DAY only, this is NOT the school Timetable.

All pupils take formal dance exams and enter regional and national competitions, as well as offering a range of opportunities to gain performance experience, both in-house and in professional venues. We also offer an open commercial street dance class to the general public who are none members of SF Dance Academy®.

Sherene Flash and Sarah Mahon have collaborated as a team to create and run SF Dance Academy®, and are excited to combine and utilize their skills and professional experience enabling them to give the best possible technique, training and education to equip pupils who are considering a career in the world of dance, performing arts entertainment industry, as well as wanting to have a fun rewarding hobby.

Our mission is to deliver successful and fulfilling careers for all our pupils. We inspire confidence, knowledge motivation and positivity, and nurture talent of all abilities and backgrounds, regardless of academic ability or personal circumstances.

SHERENE FLASH - PRINCIPAL

Sherene’s background and experience of Dance and Fitness is vast, having previously trained in The Birmingham Youth Ballet Company, Zumba® Fitness & a Scholarship Student to both Performing Arts Educational and London Studio Centre, including having over 15 professional years of experience in the Commercial Dance, Theatre, TV, Acting and Fashion Entertainment industry Worldwide, having worked with Take That, Paul McCartney, Robbie Williams, Tom Jones, Snoop & Pharrell, Adam Garcia, Arctic Monkeys, Diana Ross, Peter Andre, Blue, Boyzone & Kesha to name a few.

SARAH MAHON - PRINCIPAL

Having trained in all styles of Dance & performing from a very young age, Sarah has successfully passed all of her Examinations with Distinction throughout her career in Ballet, Tap, Modern & Gymnastics and is also a Fully Qualified Experienced Teacher under the IDTA Examination Board. Sarah has competed in many Festivals & has performed in professional shows including The Musical Fame & Oliver at The Alexander Theatre. As well as Teaching, Fashion & Modelling, Sarah is also a Musician. From the age of 14 with Grade 8 Distinction in Violin, Sarah has utilised both professions enabling her to perform at many Venues like, The Symphony Hall, The Royal Albert Hall & Adrian Bolt Hall, travelling all over the UK.
